Hollywood Riviera

Tucked into the coastline just north of Palos Verdes, the Hollywood Riviera 's scenic beauty is reminiscent of the European Riviera that inspired it. The area, which technically is part of South Torrance, has two zip codes - 90277, which is a Redondo Beach zip code, and 90505, which is a Torrance zip code. Maybe not surprisingly, there is a substantial difference in average price between homes located in the two zip codes. Part of that can be explained by the fact that the beachfront homes many find more desirable are found in the 90277 zip code, and part just comes from the fact that there is a cache associated with beachfront living and thus a beach address.

The Hollywood Riviera is comprised of mostly single family homes. One thing that sets the Hollywood Riviera apart from many other beach towns, however, is that you will find regular suburban type homes with decent sized lots and actual yards and still be within walking distance of the beach. Nights are quiet - you can hear the waves crashing, and owls hooting, but you have the convenience of your own small town - the Riviera Village. With quaint one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants, the Hollywood Riviera has a very laid back small town feel.
